27th Domino World Championship 2021
Matthias Nolting is Domino World Champion 2021!
In the second year of the Covid 19 pandemic, attendance again suffered. Only 15 players managed to meet again under the required security measures, with five of them participating via videoconference.
After all, all the leading FIDO nations were again involved: the games were played in Norway, Germany and Switzerland, where the top three positions were also distributed.
Matthias Nolting and Alex Klee were the only two to win two of the three rounds of play – Matthias Nolting, however, with much higher game scores, which is why the reigning World Champion 2020 Alex Klee ended up in third place this year. Vidar Aas took the runner-up title – his best performance in 22 years of World Championship participation.
