2nd Simultaneous Domino Championship 2007
Bruno Staub is Simultaneous Domino Champion 2007!
Even though it was April 1st, the invitation to the 2nd simultaneous tournament in Allschwil, Switzerland, was no joke. The ten participants were divided into two groups by lot and then had to play on five tables: 4 games with the double 12 and 3 with the double 15.
The constant change between the game variations and the fact that everyone was on the move almost continuously for over four hours duly challenged the participants in this tournament.
The favourites were clearly the locals, who already had the experience of their first tournament, while the others placed below »the rest«. That this had something to do with nationality was only claimed by wicked tongues …
Of course, the winner was introduced a little later in the press, which has become more receptive to such sporting news since Marina Despotovic's World Cup title.
