9th Domino World Championship 2003
Ingo Rickmann is Domino World Champion 2003!
55 participants took part in the Domino World Cup 2003 in seven locations in four countries. For the first time, a trophy was donated, which made the long journey from Kurt Dierks – the donor – in the south of France to Garbsen near Hanover, where it was handed over on 14.02.2004 at a festive ceremony in the closest circle of friends. In Grenchen, the trophy received its shield donated by Walti Bader.
The world champion was Ingo Rickmann, who came to the FIDO players with his friends via the internet and competed for the first time this year.
For the first time, participants from the JUVENTE winter camp in Bielefeld were absent, thus confirming the thesis that Bielefeld is only a fiction anyway …
The central evaluation again took place in Grenchen, Switzerland, at the home of Irène and Walti Bader, who provided the technical and culinary supplies at a high level.
The surplus of men (34 to 21) also helped to bring the gender parity in the trophy closer again: 5 women and 4 men have won the coveted title so far.
